This is it. This is the moment we’ve all been waiting for. It’s here. We hope you’re sitting down, because this is some pretty major news…

JPG Photography excitedly presents its new blog site!!

Okay, so we may have been a little dramatic, with all our theatrics and whatnot. But this is some pretty big news for us! This new blog format will be easier to traverse, include more content, have uploaded biographies of all our photographers (and man, this family has GROWN), and, of course, ample space for bloggage.

This has been a culmination of hours of research, writing, editing and photography work from all of my staff. And, from the bottom of my heart, I thank all of you who played a part in bringing this to life.

Where Have We Been?!?

Hey folks!

It’s been a while since you’ve seen an update from us on here, so we just wanted to share some quick updates:

1) Pretty soon, we will have a lot of new blogs to be posted. We will be sharing some awesome events like weddings, childbirths, engagements, and countless other activities that JPG loves to document.

2) We announced it before, but we’re still so excited – JPG Photography won the Philly Hot List Best Photographers! Look for a new blog detailing our adventure through that process soon!

3) Congratulations to Doug M for being chosen our random voter winner for the Philly Hot List! You will be awarded a 20×30 canvas wrap print of your favorite JPG Photograph! Please let me know which photo you would like printed and we’ll get it right out to you!

Tamara and Michael’s Princess Wedding in Medford, Oregon!

There are many couples who wish to have a “fairytale wedding,” but when you get the opportunity to have a wedding on the property of a Disney animator in Medford, Oregon, I’d say that’s pretty darn close!! Luckily for Tamara and Michael, they took advantage of this opportunity and had their wedding outside of this spacious estate, which was a year in the making. And all of their hard work truly paid off.

For an entire year, Tamara and Michael prepared her grandfather’s house for their special day, with the help of family and friends. This was an extremely unique house, as well. Owned by her grandfather, who was an animator for Disney, it had beautiful hand-crafted wood accents all over the place (as well as his own personal inventions). When her grandparents were alive, it was also used as a pear tree farm known as the “Tipsy Bee.” Though it isn’t used as a farm anymore, the trees were still in bloom. I think it was great that the house remained in the family, and that it was relatively unchanged for years.

And when they started preparing the land for the wedding, the whole family got involved! Tamara’s aunt and uncle cleared brush and built a stone stairway in the backyard. They also leveled a stretch of land that overlooked the farm fields and mountains so that it could be used for the ceremony area. Plus they cleared an area for the dance floor! For the days preceding the wedding, there were people all over, cleaning china and crystal, and moving furniture. Family and friends from all over help make the ceremony a truly beautiful occasion.

At their reception just a short walk away, the wedding guests overlooked the vista of mountains. Everyone had a blast dancing under the hand-strung lights, and enjoyed a small buffet dinner. The happily-married couple made their exit through a row of sparklers, held by smiling family members.
